Every few years we hear of claims that Noah’s Ark (or what may remain of it) has been found on the mountains of Ararat in Turkey. Over the weekend, a press conference was held in Hong Kong where it was announced that explorers were almost certain they had found the remains of the Ark.
While it is an amazing find, without knowing the scientific methods, Christians have to be careful about jumping to conclusions about discoveries such as this. Far to often these events turn out to be hoaxes. Without corroboration from leading creationist organizations, we must be hesitant about running through the streets shouting "The Bible is true! Noah's ark has been found."
The Bible is true with or without scientific evidence. The Bible is true because God says it is (Psalm 19 and Psalm 119).
